Pretty Little Cocktails: 3 Signature Drinks to your Engagement Party

Engagement season is upon us and with that in mind, we could not think of a better way to toast to each of the bride and grooms-to-be than with a delicious assortment of cocktails. We were fortunate enough to team up with Rohini Moradi of Ceremony — a drink catering agency at San Francisco that specializes in hand-crafted and organic artisan cocktails such as weddings, corporate parties, private events, and more. Rohini piled three beautiful signature beverages that pair perfectly with our Cheers engagement celebration collection and we are so excited to share!

The Cocktail Bar

Ceremony is more than prepared to provide whatever you will need for your bar, if it be bar tools, booze, just the bartenders themselves, or each one of the aforementioned. This left setting up our own cocktail bar with Rohini so simple! Her golden bar tools paired with our decanters and glassware created for a beautiful setup. She even surprised us with her very own organic simple syrup — Roya Spirit — which made the cocktails even more delicious.

The Signature Cocktails

Apart from catering events, Rohini also teaches bartending certification classes in a class called The Cocktail Camp. Lucky for us, we got to learn a few principles from her. When asked how she selects the components to get a signature cocktail,” she explained there are a number of different things to take into account. What’s the couple’s wedding style? Can there be a color theme? What flavors and spirits do they generally like? After we shared our own answers, she was able to whip up three very distinct, very delicious signature cocktails that we are still drooling over. Trust us when we say you’re likely to want to test them, so check out the recipes below! You may even discover the signature drink to your upcoming engagement party.

 1) Amaro Julep

A combination of spirit, mint, and a lot of ice hockey — juleps have a way of taking extreme alcoholic tastes and tempering them into the likings of the most sensitive palettes. Garnish with a lot of mint to get an extra festive look.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz. Bruto Americano Amaro
  • 1 1/2 ounce. St. George Spiced Pear Liqueur
  • Mint renders

In a rocks glass, then add Bruto Americano Amaro and St. George Spiced Pear Liqueur. Fill with crushed ice and garnish with mint leaves.

2) Dessert Rose

This stunning cocktail is like a gin fizz, but way more gorgeous. The secret to getting a tower of creamy, frothy foam would be to shake like mad! Garnished with a single rose petal, this drink will surely impress.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 ounce. St. George Botanivoir Gin
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 oz. Roya Spirit Simple Syrup
  • 1/2 oz. Guava juice
  • 1/4 ounce. Increased water
  • 1/4 lime

Add all ingredients to shaker shirt and shake vigorously (without ice). Add ice and shake for five seconds. Strain into glass and garnish with one rose petal.

3) Ro’s Merry Baby

Rohini’s twist on the timeless gimlet is the best party cocktail. Her sweet easy syrup paired with a dash of lime and a sprig of rosemary absolutely compliment juniper-rich gin. It’s a bit sweet, a bit tart, and oh so refreshing!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 ounce. St. George Terroir Gin
  • 1 sprig of rosemary
  • 1/2 oz. Roya Spirit Simple Syrup
  • 1/2 oz. Lime juice

Muddle a pinch of rosemary in shaker top and put in the remainder of ingredients. Add ice to shaker and shake for 15 seconds. Strain into cocktail glass and garnish with lime and rosemary.

Which of these cocktails do you most like to try? Do you intend on having signature cocktails at your engagement party?
