Christmas Holidays

9 Fun Games

Get everyone engaged in the next holiday office party with those 9 fun games! Games are the perfect way to bring out your competitive side and matches are a great way to get your party guests interacting with one another also. These are great icebreakers and simple to set up, so be certain that you play some of your favorites to get some enjoyable holiday celebration actions at your office holiday party!

1.   Candy Canes

This game is like Spoons just with candy canes. Based on the number of people are playing, place candy canes at the center of the dining table, using a fewer candy cane than there are players (e.g. when you have 6 players, then you should have 5 candy canes on the table).  The object of the game is to get four-of-a-kind with your cards and once you do, you have to grab a candy cane quick! Consume five cards in your hand in any way times and discard 1 card at a time which you don’t want by passing to the left. Pick up your new card from the player who lost to a right. Try and get your four-of-a-kind, but remember to look out for any player who gets theirs . Should you see someone catch a candy cane, you have to make sure that you grab one too. Whoever doesn’t catch a candy cane in the conclusion of the round is out. Continue playing rounds before the last player has caught the final candy cane on the table.

2. Name That Christmas Movie

Play short clips from Christmas films without letting the players view the clip. They have to listen to the voices, music, or other noises to figure what Christmas movie is playing. We propose developing a movie queue on YouTube beforehand and setting up a laptop connected to some speakers at the party. The player or the team having the most correct answers wins!

3.  Who Am I?

Pick one individual, place, or item for every participant by writing it down on a piece of paper and having them tape it into either their forehead or back. (Just so long as they can not see what it is!) Every participant gets to ask 20 questions to attempt to figure out who or what they are. You can do this for as many rounds as you’d like. Whoever ends up being able to guess that they are, gets a prize!

4. Secret Santa

This needs a bit of preparation in advance. Compose everybody in the workplace’s name on a piece of paper and blend it up in a bowl. Have everyone pick a name from the bowl and do not let each other know who chose whos name. Buy or make a present for the person you chosen and leave it in a pile on the afternoon of the celebration. Designate someone to pass out the presents and have each person try and guess who their secret Santa is.

5. Christmas Charades

Write down anything related to Christmas such as songs, movies, and traditions on small pieces of paper and mix in a bowl. Have each player draw out of the bowl and behave out what is written down on their own bit of paper. Whoever guesses correctly gets to go next! This game can also be completed in groups. Split into two teams and catch a timer. Have one person from each group go at some time with the timer running. The team that guesses the best before the timer runs out wins!

6.   Ugly Sweater Contest

Have each player make and use an”ugly” Christmas sweater. Then, have everyone at the party vote for their preferred ugly sweater. Whoever gets the most votes wins a trophy!

7. White Elephant

Have everyone from the office bring in a wrapped gift (usually a range will be set, that way nobody spends a lot a lot less than many others ).   On small pieces of paper, write a number for as many people which are playing. Each person draws a number to see what sequence they get to decide on a present from the pile. The catch to this game is that gifts can be stolen up to 3 times! If player two loves the present that participant number one chose, then they can steal it! That means player number one gets to select from the pile again. Continue having each player pick a gift in order until everybody has had a chance to play.

8. Holiday Sticker Stalker

As each guest arrives, hand them a decal sheet and let them know that the object of the game is to place the stickers on the other players without them noticing. The first person to get rid of all their decals on their sheet wins!

9.   Christmas Pictionary

The same as with charades, write Christmas associated movies, music, and traditions on little pieces of paper and mix in a bowl. Divide your players into two teams and have just one person on each team be the”drawer” at a time. Using paper, a whiteboard, or a chalkboard convenient, every drawer must pull a piece of paper in the bowl and then draw on the Christmas-related phrase. Each group must attempt to figure what their drawer is currently drawing before the timer runs out. The team with the most correct answers wins!
