Only the sight of cotton candy gives us an instantaneous dose of happiness. So, we could not help but be somewhat (okay–VERY) excited when we purchased our cotton candy machine! The very first thing on our list to produce with our excellent purchase? This sweet glass of cotton candy champagne! Delicious, fairly, easy-to-make, and perfect for bridal showers, birthday parties, and any special occasion.
To create this enjoyable cocktail, the first thing you have to do is get a grip on some of your favorite flavored cotton candy. (Cotton candy comes in several flavors and colors so don’t hesitate to try a couple of different alternatives!) You can grab some pre-made cotton candy, or make your own with a system just like we did. In case you decide to take the DIY route, all you’ve got to do is pour the sugar to the machine, allow it to heat, and observe the cotton candy appear! Once you begin to see what almost looks like”webs” form from the machine, then use a newspaper straw to twist your cotton candy. You’ll find a gorgeous cloud of coloured sugar in no time!
We used two plastic forks to softly remove the cloud of cotton candy off the straw, which helped ensure it remained nice and fluffy while placing it into our drinkware. Isn’t it a gorgeous presentation? When you are ready to sip on your cocktail, all you have to do is put champagne over the top. Your cotton candies will dissolve into the champagne, creating an additional sweet and sugary cocktail. Enjoy!

1 final thing–don’t let any of that extra cotton candy go to waste! We got a little carried away ourselves together with the cotton candy machine, thus we chose to bring the extras to cupcakes. Just follow the very same measures as above, but place in addition to iced cupcakes rather than in drinkware.
