You Make My Heart Pop! DIY Pink Popcorn For Valentine’s Day

This is the perfect DIY Valentine’s Day gift for the one who makes your soul pop! It’s easy to make, thoughtful, cute, and oh so sweet! We discovered a great pink popcorn tutorial in cravings of a lunatic and packed it in some of our beloved pink popcorn boxes along with a sweet note. Keep reading to learn ways to create your own!

Here Is What you’ll need:

  • Popcorn (no butter included )
  • 2/3 cup whole milk or half and half
  • 1 tablespoon white corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Red or pink food coloring
  • Popcorn boxes
  • Construction paper
  • Pen
  • Mini clothespin or tape
  • Scissors

First, pop your popcorn! Don’t hesitate to do this using the microwave or on the cooker. Pour your popcorn in a large bowl and set aside. Then mix your milk, corn syrup, and salt together in a saucepan. Pour your sugar to the center of the saucepan, making sure not to find any on the sides of the saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat while stirring until the sugar dissolves and your mix reaches 230 degrees F. Now that it’s in the desired temperature, stir in the vanilla and the food coloring until you achieve your desired pink colour. Working quickly, pour  your mixture evenly over the popcorn and stir until the popcorn is evenly coated. Now spread the popcorn on baking sheets to dry. Once dry it’s ready to pack or eat! For your packaging, just place popcorn from the pink popcorn boxes. Cut a heart shape using scissors and building papers and write a sweet note! Pin or tape the note on the popcorn box along with your gift is ready to go.
