Our Favorite Summer Wedding Trends for 2016

We’re so excited that summer (aka peak wedding season) is finally here! And this year, we are especially excited about these 5 summer wedding styles. From our favourite colour palette to your season to our favorite themes and treats, we are so happy to talk about our favourite thoughts. Have a peek at our list below and hopefully, get motivated for your wedding!

A Mint & Blush Color Palette

We’re a little obsessed with this yellow color combo. So much in reality, that we brought one of our newest bridal shower collections — From Miss to Mrs. — into life utilizing mint, blush, and also a hint of copper (another trending colour in the blush-tone family). We love this colour combo readily works for an indoor or outdoor wedding or wedding shower, while that could be at a hotel, a garden, the beach or the hills. The combo is simple and elegant, yet fun!

Greenery

Brides and grooms are not just opting for blossoms. Greenery has been creating a lasting impression at weddings lately and we are awed at how easy and beautiful they seem. They’re fantastic for adding a touch of natural beauty — particularly for a boho or wedding. Trust us, if you are not one who needs a ton of flowers at your wedding, then this is the ideal, trending choice for you. Plus, succulents also make great wedding favors! Food & Dessert Bars

Possessing a food or dessert bar is this a fantastic way to allow your visitors to snack and indulge because they please. (Waiting for appetizers and meals to be served can feel like an eternity when hungry don’t you believe?) Some of our favourite kinds of treats for the bar at your wedding include ice cream, popcorn, hamburgers, s’mores, as well as fruit. They’re such a fun way to maintain bellies full and happy.

Beach Themes

When we think about what we would like to experience this summerwe almost instantly envision a beautiful day on the beach. And if you’re planning a wedding on or near the beach, why not go out with a full-on beach theme? Envision bright summer colours and shore elements such as palm trees and starfish. We love both of our beach-inspired wedding themes — Palm Beach Chic and Anchored in Love — make us feel as though we’re already digging our toes into the sand, and manage to do this in their own way. Check out our lookbook for more inspirational photos featuring these two collections.

Silk Chocolate

Cotton candy reminds us of a hot summer evening at the fair, carnival, or boardwalk. It’s a candy treat that does not feel too heavy to love a hot day and it brings such a fairly whimsical touch to weddings. We adore that couples have been serving up cotton candy on carts, cupcakes, in champagne glasses, and favor bags. (We bought a cotton candy machine to create our own cotton candy champagne!) If you are a fan of this timeless treat, then we can not recommend you enough to discuss your love of cotton candy with your wedding guests. All you have to do is determine your favorite way to serve it.

Which of those trends is the favorite? Would you use one of these tendencies in your wedding? We like to hear from our readers, so please don’t hesitate to leave a comment below with any thoughts you might have.
