Make It Make It Blue: Ideas for a Sleeping Beauty Baby Shower, Pink

If you are a fan of the Disney version of Sleeping Beauty, then you probably remember the quotation”Make it pink. Make it blue,” — said as two fairies fight over the ideal color for Aurora’s birthday gown. We couldn’t help but think of this quote because we prepped for our blue and pink baby shower collections, recognizing the”make it pink, so make it blue” notion is such a fantastic idea for a gender reveal baby shower! By incorporating both colors, you will have guests on their toes until the big show — but keep in mind to have them vote group pink or team blue to make the shower that much more entertaining! For inspiration on bringing this theme to life, have a look at our thoughts below.

Having a baby is a dream come true — so why not play off of the classic Sleeping Beauty tune”Once Upon A Dream”? Insert the lyrics to picture frames, banners, and much more.

Tassel garlands make it effortless to showcase all your favorite colors, and we love how the one above turned out! Together with blue and pink, we adore the added gold resembling Aurora’s crown.

Here is a fun idea for voting whether you are on staff pink or group gloomy — have guests wear a tutu, crown, or pin to resemble their own suspect.

Because this is a celebration fit for princes and princesses, include a fun activity such as producing those DIY lace crowns. Again, these may be used as a sign for what sex the guests think baby is.

Remember the infamous lopsided cake which the green fairy Fauna makes? Take that concept and turn it into a fun cupcake decorating channel!

Arrangements of pink and blue flowers will make the party seem that much prettier. Try out blue hydrangeas and pink roses. After all, Aurora’s alter ego is “Briar Rose.”

For a unique touch, add spools of ribbon as decoration. We love how pretty this notion is, in addition to how it is a very simple nod to the spindle from the movie.

As a reference to fairytales generally, try using books as decor. Bonus points if they’re blue or pink!

These little prince / little princess favor boxes make the perfect packaging for favors. But remember — don’t let guests see before the gender has been shown!
