A+ Back to School Party Suggestions

The school year begins before you know it, but there is still lots of time to sponsor one last celebration! Although we absolutely love summer holiday (and we are certain you and your kids do too)we think that the beginning of a brand new school year is super exciting and something that needs to be celebrated! So what better way to receive your kids, their classmates, and yourself eager for the new school year than using a back to school party? It’s not only enjoyable but encouraging too! Inspired by books, teamwork, and other fun learning activities, these back to college celebration ideas are sure to get you an A+ in hosting. Continue reading to find a few of our very favourite thoughts.

Take Silly photographs

Before the school year officially begins, we suggest taking a photograph of each guest in order that they could return and see just what they looked like when entering their next tier. There are plenty of approaches to show off their new grades, such as with a cute sign. Trust us, you’ll be so glad these photographs were taken! And all of the other party guest parents will be happy too. Just don’t forget to give them their backup.

Decorate your home like a classroom

Make your house look like a classroom! (Except a bit more party oriented naturally.) We love each the ideas above such as using flashcards like garland, a chalkboard table setting, such as a globe and novels as props, and of course apples — actual ones and these simple DIY apple balloons, also.

Get prepared for the first day of college with enjoyable activities

Get your guests eager for the new school year with an assortment of enjoyable activities that revolve round college supplies. A few of our favorites include decorating your pencil boxes and lunch sacks as well as a school provide scavenger hunt! Creativity is guaranteed to ignite with all the decorating of pen boxes and lunch sacks, and a college supply scavenger not only assists with first-day-prep but promotes teamwork too.

Get motivated with books

Tying in with decor and activities, we love the concept of encouraging the children at the party to read. Three of our favourite ideas include getting the kids create their own bookmarks, having the celebration motif inspired by a popular book such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and hosting a book exchange. For the book exchange, ask each guest to bring a book (or two, or three) of theirs that they enjoyed reading and are prepared to pass along. Set up all of the novels so that the guests can each pick a new one to relish. (Yet many novels they brought to the celebration are how many that they make to take home.) It’s a terrific way to share favorite stories and get the kids excited about reading.

Create a gift for educators

It’s always a nice gesture to let teachers know they’re appreciated and a little gift is a great way to do so. Have your party guests work together to make a gift for their new teacher/teachers. The tiniest of gestures goes a very long way, and this is a superb activity to promote teamwork too.

Favors

Thank your guests for attending your back to school celebration with favors inspired by learning. A couple of our favorite ideas include these yummy number cookies and a set of highlighters having an inviting note.
