As we prepare for summer, we can not help but get excited about warm weather, bright colours, and fruity drinks. We have been a bit obsessed with citrus recently, and also to satisfy our fruity cravings, we decided to design a citrus motivated pub cart! Whether you are craving mimosas, blood orange margaritas, or citrus sangria, this lush-looking bar cart is really really easy to pull off. Let us help you become inspired to make your own.
For your garland, we chose to get crafty so as to get the specific look we wanted. All it took was a few simple items! We headed to our regional craft shop where we picked up faux greenery (six pieces) and paddle wire. We then headed to the market where we grabbed naval oranges and sugars. (We ended up using eight small blood sugars on our garland.) Once we had all our materials, we just tied our artificial greenery to one side of the bar cart with paddle wire. (Make sure you’ve got wire cutters to cut your desired length of wire.) Once all of the greenery was attached, we pierced a piece of wire through every blood orange. The wire popped right from the other hand! That made it easy to just tie the blood oranges into the greenery.
We ended up deciding to sip on citrus juices and spritzers, so we included some of our favorite tastes to those swing top glass bottles for a pretty screen. And to treat ourselves to some sign of champagne we packed up some champagne flavored gummy bears into miniature mason jars. Not only did they match the colour scheme we were going for, they tasted yummy, too!
For glassware, we wanted a look which was tasteful yet enjoyable, so we opted for these personalized champagne flute collections in our floral diamond design. And to really showcase our current preferred beverage — blood orange pop — we chose to set it in a carafe. We love how pretty glassware can add a stylish touch to just about anything.
For the bottom shelf on the cart, we made a decision to display more oranges and leaves onto a cake plate. It created for this kind of pretty finishing touch!
