5 Modern Thanksgiving Tablescapes — Inspiration, Color Palettes, Tips, Tricks, and Products for a Chic Thanksgiving Table

With Thanksgiving approaching quickly, we’ve been considering ways we can observe the holiday in a bit more contemporary manner. We personally love playing with colours and textures to become new looks and because the dinner table is this a vital part of Thanksgiving, we thought what better way to modernize the vacation than a dining table using a non-traditional color palette which feels both simple and grand. We went ahead and took inspiration from real Thanksgiving tables, photo shoots, and weddings and found 5 lovely installations worthy of your contemporary Thanksgiving tablescape. We pulled colours from actual images to offer you a valuable color palette and even included advice and some of our favorite products we believe would go superbly with every table. Discover these beautiful tablescapes on your own, and do not hesitate to create Thanksgiving your own. We love”traditional” fall colors, but all our styles is unique and we invite you to adopt yours! Let’s start inspiring you.

This tablescape unites colors like grey, gold, silver, copper, plum, pink, green, and burnt orange beautifully. These colours may seem like an odd combo, but with gray as its foundation, each color accent fits together. Some attribute that stood out to us most include the golden rimmed glassware (much like the one we DIY’d), the lively”thankful” tags, the stir sticks, some decorative owls, the mini copper Moscow mules, and the takeout boxes for any leftovers. This entire table resembles a colorful Thanksgiving table update and although traditional fall colors aren’t included (the common glowing crimson, orange, and yellow) the look of the table still makes us feel as though it’s time to sit down into a Turkey dinner.

Table 2

This table makes us sense looks both rustic and elegant and manages to catch the appearance and feel of autumn with hints of crimson, gold, and crimson across an otherwise very neutral table. The touch of lace on the wood table adds beautiful texture and the tall candlesticks, wine glasses, floral table runner,  and ornamental leaf plates make us feel as though we are in a whimsical, yet elegant Thanksgiving dinner.  If we had to add anything, we’d go for a few gold tea light holders, glass bell jars for serving, and personalized  stemless wine glasses to let our loved ones take home as a keepsake.

The most traditional looking of the bunch, this dining table definitely feels like a drop setting as a result of the deep reds, traces of crimson and bronze, pumpkins, along with the cornucopia centerpiece. However, what we love about it is that while it’s obviously supposed to look formal, it somehow still feels casual — just like we are about to sit down to some particular meal but  it’s ok not to be dressed up. What does it for us are the indications of burlap and brown paper and also the simplicity of the white bowls. To get a similar natural yet sophisticated look, we’d use pinecone firestarters for decoration which doubles as favors, pumpkin vases, also this monogrammed burlap table runner. Subsequently fancy it up a little with cloth napkins and napkin rings.

Black might not be the first colour that comes to mind if you think about Thanksgiving, but it certainly does convey the expression modern. Combined with rustic, natural colours such as cream, bronze, brown, tan, and sage green, this table appears both simple and tasteful. The most important centerpiece of dried foxtail infused with a few pheasant feathers is very earthy and being wrapped in a bronze satin ribbon makes it look like a complicated bit. Clear glassware and white plates keep this table looking clean while the candlesticks and multiple floral centerpieces attract some glam for this table. If we had to add anything for this table, we’d choose these black and white damask glass tealight holders for a few glow and these gold feather eyeglasses which could be utilized as place card holders, miniature menu holders, and favors. We just love how modern and earthy it’s while still being inviting and autumn feeling with its natural color palette.

Blue really doesn’t get enough credit in the autumn. We personally can’t get enough of the navy blue, yellowish, grey, white, and brown tablescape. It feels very coastal and calm because of the white and navy, yet still collapse appropriate together with the touch of aluminum. We love how a few pumpkins were integrated into the decor and the tall candlesticks and vintage glassware convey this table is actually set for a special meal. Our favorite thing about this table is definitely the contrast of copper and navy against timber. To get a similar appearance, we suggest utilizing aluminum place card holders and classic colored tealight holders. White porcelain flower vases would also make a beautiful addition.

Which of those looks is the favorite? What are some other colours you’d like to see integrated into Thanksgiving tablescapes? We’d like to hear your opinions. If you’d like to participate with us, then please feel free to leave a comment!
